What is editing?

Editing is the process of selecting and preparing written, visual, audible and film media used to convey information. The editing process can involve connection, condensation, organisation and many other modifications performed with an intention of producing a correct, consistent, accurate and complete work.

What is Eliptical editing?

Eliptical editing is used to change a long duration of clips into a condensed and improved shorter edit which will be more interesting, it includes modifying the order of clips and cutting out those that are unnecessary in order to save time and create a more interesting movie for the audience.

Why are long shots used?

The long shot is used to “frame” everything into the picture, typically shows the entire object or example human figure and is usually intended to place it in some relation to its surroundings.
